Mental Performance Coach

DR. EMILY WRIGHT

Emily received her Ph.D. in Sports Psychology with a concentration in youth sports parenting from Michigan State University. At Michigan State, Emily provided mental performance training services to the DI women’s tennis team and youth hockey teams in the surrounding area. 

In addition to being an IMG Academy+ Coach, Emily is an Assistant Professor at Miami University (Ohio), where she teaches and mentors students in Sport Psychology. 


Performance Dietitian

TAYLOR CINTRON

Taylor Cintron is a registered sports dietitian who has worked with athletes in the field of performance nutrition for the past 8 years. 

Taylor got her start as an on-site performance dietician at IMG Academy and has since worked with collegiate and professional athletes.


Mental Performance Coach

DR. GREG YOUNG

Originally from Newcastle, England, Dr. Greg Young played collegiate soccer at Berry College and earned a degree in Physical Education - Teacher Education. He attended the University of Tennessee and earned his M.S. and Ph.D. in Sport Psychology and Motor Behavior. 


While studying, he taught the physical education activity program and served as a graduate assistant for Sports Psychology for the University of Tennessee athletic department. He currently heads up Mental Performance at St. Louis CITY Soccer Club.

    Course Questions

  • All parents and guardians are welcome but this course is best suited for parents/guardians of student-athletes ages 13-19, who are looking to help their student-athlete in sports and life. 

    Applicable to all sports!

  • This course consists of 2 modules that take roughly 1 hour each to complete. You can start and come back to modules, lessons and activities whenever you’d like. You’re guaranteed to come away with valuable tips in as quickly as 10 minutes!

    This course is designed to fit into your schedule, so make sure to go at your own pace!

  • We’ve designed our courses with multiple learning styles in mind. Whether you learn best by listening to podcasts, watching videos, interacting with peers and course instructors, engaging in activities, writing, or self-reflecting, we’ve got you covered.

    Have feedback on the course style? We want to know! Email us to share what works best for you. 

  • In the course community, you can interact with other parents and guardians of student-athletes and your expert coach facilitator in real time.

    However, the course lessons are not live. We know parents and guardians of student-athletes are always stretched for time, so we want to ensure that all people can learn at their own pace and on their own schedule. 

  • We recommend taking additional Parenting courses & workshops as they get added to build on what you’ve learned thus far. 

    If you’re looking to go deeper, and get coaching that is more specific to your family, consider getting a Mental Performance and/or Nutrition Coach. With private coaching, you’ll get to meet one-on-one with your expert IMG Academy+ Coach(es) who will tailor an action plan specific to your student-athlete’s goals and needs.
